Seat management

A seat is a billable user account in your Batida organization. On the Pro and Enterprise plans, you are billed per seat per month. This page covers how to add, remove, and manage seats.

Understanding seats

  • Every user with an active account in your organization counts as a seat.
  • Seats are billed on a monthly basis, prorated for partial months.
  • Deactivated users do not count toward your seat total.
  • The Free plan includes up to 5 seats at no cost.

Adding seats

  1. Navigate to Settings > Billing.
  2. Under Seats, click Add Seats.
  3. Enter the number of seats to add.
  4. Confirm the additional charge.

New seats become available immediately. You can then invite new users to fill them.

Removing seats

To remove seats, first deactivate the users you want to remove:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Users.
  2. Find the user you want to deactivate.
  3. Click Deactivate.
  4. The user's seat is freed up and your next invoice reflects the change.

WARNING

Deactivating a user immediately revokes their access to the organization. They can be reactivated later if needed.

Viewing active users

The Users page in organization settings shows all user accounts:

ColumnDescription
NameUser's display name
EmailUser's email address
RoleViewer, Responder, Incident Admin, or Org Admin
StatusActive or Deactivated
Last activeWhen the user last logged in

Use the filter to show only active or only deactivated users.

Per-seat billing details

Billing is calculated at the end of each billing cycle:

Total charge = (number of active seats) x (plan price per seat)

Examples:

Active seatsPlanMonthly charge
10ProR$590
25ProR$1,475
10EnterpriseR$1,190

When a user is added mid-cycle, they are charged a prorated amount for the remaining days. When a user is deactivated mid-cycle, a credit is applied to the next invoice.

Inviting users

After adding seats, invite users to fill them:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Users.
  2. Click Invite User.
  3. Enter the email address and select a role.
  4. Click Send Invite.

The invited user receives an email with a link to join the organization. They count as an active seat once they accept the invitation.
